The National Lutheran Youth Workers Conference (NATIONAL24) is a standalone youth ministry practitioner conference, but also provides a wonderful opportunity to prepare for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering. The 4-day conference is a great opportunity for: 

  • Adult Leaders planning to take a group to New Orleans in 2025 and wanting to familiarize themselves with area hotels, facilities, and restaurants; 

  • First-time Adult Leaders desiring to connect with other new and seasoned Adult Leaders; 

  • Adult Leaders looking for training and networks which support your service as a youth ministry practitioner; 

  • Young (high school) leaders in congregations looking for an opportunity to sharpen their skills and meet other LCMS young leaders through YouthLead training; 

  • Young Adults (ages 18–25) looking to serve their congregation and the opportunity to serve the community of New Orleans through a Young Adult Servant event.

Next year’s conference will be held July 21–24, 2024 at the Astor Crowne Plaza and we hope to see you there! The hotel conference nightly rate is $119 (single/double), $139 (3 to a room), $159 (4 to a room), plus tax (around 17%). 

Each NATIONAL24 adult registration ($400.00) and guest room reservation at the Astor Crowne Plaza provides your group with a complimentary, transferable adult leader registration for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering and a free copy of Seven Practices of Healthy Youth Ministry. 

Young Adult Registration ($300.00) and guest room reservation at the Astor Crowne Plaza hotel provides a complimentary Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) registration for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering and a free copy of Seven Practices of Healthy Youth Ministry.

Youth registration is $275.00 and Young Adult Registration is $300.00. No complimentary 2025 Gathering registration comes with the youth registration.

    For Mental Health First Aid registrants, training ends at 3 pm.

YouthLead Track 

We want to prepare high school leaders alongside their adult mentors at National. Teens will join with adults at some of the plenaries and will have workshops in each of those sessions lead by our young adult Executive Team. Teens will be free to eat meals with the adults from their congregation and explore the city with them.  

YouthLead Workshops will be focusing on why we serve as Christians and how to expand service opportunities for their congregation. This will include topics like how to plan servant events, what God’s Word says about mercy work, and how to keep service focused on Christ. It will be a different curriculum than the one for the National YouthLead in St. Louis.

Depending on the size of the group, we will have several times where teens will have special events and meals (including potentially going off-site.) More details about their schedule will be made available soon.
